How to Use a Moisturizing Day Cream Correctly

Step 3. Day Time: ÉCLAIRÉ Cellnergic Active Youth Perfection Day Cream

A daily facial moisturizer, especially with a SPF, is one of the most important things for your skin health and beauty. Moisturizer provides a protective layer from the harsh environment, while keeping your skin hydrated and moist. They lock in moisture and keep your skin looking soft and radiant. A moisturizer with a SPF, protects the skin from damaging effects of the sun or UV lights. Find a day moisturizer with a right SPF depending on the duration and extent of sun exposure and skin type. Applying your moisturizer the correct way helps you to get the most from it.

Most importantly, make sure you use a right moisturizer for your skin type. If you have dry skin, use an emolient, creamy moisturizer. If you have oily skin, use a lightweight, gel or cream moisturizer for oily skin. If you have a combination skin, use a gel moisturizer on the oily areas and a creamy moisturizer on the dry areas or use a moisturizer for combination skin. If you have an acne skin, use a gel moisturizer for acne skin on the oily/acne areas and a creamy moisturizer on the dry areas or use a moisturizer for combination skin.

3. Lightly pat the excess water off your face with a clean towel, leaving your skin damp.

4. Wash your hands thoroughly with hand soap and water, then pat your skin dry with a clean towel or hand dryer.

5. Open your moisturizer, use a clean ring finger or clean cream applicator and put little dabs of cream on your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin. Don't overdo it. You only need a small dabs of moisturizer to effectively hydrate your face. Always remember to tightly close your moisturizer's container after use and store in a dry place, at room temperature, out of reach of children.

6. Beginning at your right or left cheek, gently and lightly massage the moisturizer into your skin with your fingertips in upward and outward strokes until it is fully absorbed into the skin. Continue to your chin, other cheek and forehead, then down under your nose, ensuring that every part of the skin has been covered and the moisturizer is completely absorbed.

7. Avoid the skin around the eyes when applying facial moisturizer. Getting it too close to your eyes can cause irritation. For the skin around the eyes, it is advisable to use eye cream. When applying eye cream, never rub the skin around the eyes too hard because it can cause dark circle.

8. Apply a small amount of the moisturizer onto your neck. Massage in upward stroking motion, until it is fully absorbed.

9. Allow your facial moisturizer to soak in and dry for two minutes before applying foundation and makeup.

10. You may use the day moisturizer every morning or as required after cleansing and toning your skin.

11. Before use ÉCLAIRÉ Cellnergic product range for a first time, test your skin reaction first by applying the ECLAIRE product to small part of skin area (Avoid very oily, acne or open wound skin areas). Follow the direction of use. If after few hours or 24 hours (depends on product), there is no adverse reaction, begin using. If you experience any skin irritation during use, wash the skin and rinse thoroughly with water. If this skin sensitivity/irritation persists, seek medical advice.

12. Read the label of your product container or product insert for contents/ingredients before use. Check if you are allergic to any of the ingredient. Please note that if skin sensitivity occurs or sign of irritation appear, consult your physician.
